The Machine’s Mirror

Twelve protocols, one question at a time.

Every chapter of the book closes with a page where its central questions are put to the artificial minds now everywhere in our lives. Here those twelve pages become protocols: pick a brand, copy the prompts into the model you use, paste what it answers, write what you see. Each protocol names the chapter’s applied exercise it mirrors: if you have the book, do that exercise first and keep it at hand; if not, the protocol tells you what to prepare. Keep the whole thing in My Space.

The machine does not remember; it averages. It smooths, stereotypes, and sometimes invents. That is not a flaw to work around in these exercises: it is the lesson itself.
